Beginnings
- In 2002, five men and their wives, with a passion of the Awana ministry, formed a nonprofit 501C(3) organization registered in the State of Montana for the primary purpose of supporting the Awana ministry in Montana and Northern Wyoming.
Big Sky Scholarship Camp: When
Awana stopped their camping ministry in 2006, BSSM established Big Sky
Scholarship Camp (BSSC) to start with the summer of 2007. BSSM wanted to
continue a camping ministry to motivate Awana clubbers to finish their books so
they can have great fun, learn more about Jesus, meet new friends, and to learn
to serve Him now. Since its beginning, God has expanded the ministry of BSSC to
reach campers and staff from Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska,
Washington, Oregon, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida.
Board of Directors
- There is a Board of Directors of Big Sky Strategic Ministries, Inc to work towards the Goal of BSSM.
Goal
- Our primary goal is to provide both personnel and finances for the various Awana and related youth Ministries in the Mountain West.
Source of Income
- Our source of income is the Awana family, together with their friends, and all those in Montana and around the Mountain West and across the United States who share our passion to help Awana Clubbers grow in the grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ and to see them serve Him now and in the future. Tax deductible donations, payable to “BSSM”, may be sent to:
- Russ Anderson, BSSC Registrar, 5848 South Blake Drive, Taylorsville, UT 84129.
